Walter

Walter is the fan-name for one of the four scientist models in the original Half-Life. Also known as the glasses model and the Kleiner model. The name originates from the face texture for the model and was later used for the character Walter Bennett. The name started from Planet Half-Life's Walter's World parody articles and was later used as an actual character in Gearbox's expansion packs.

Appearance

Walter is white, with a bald crown ringed with grey hair. He also wears thick-, rectangular-framed glasses. The Walter model is the base for Isaac Kleiner.

Noteable Walters

• Isaac Kleiner is based on the Walter model.
• The only scientists seen holding a gun in Half-Life is a Walter. He appears guarding the entrance to the Lambda Complex teleportation chamber with a shotgun (A scene that is echoed by Dr. Kleiner in Half-Life 2).
• Smithers, in Blast Pit, is also a Walter.
• Walter Bennett, who appears in Blue Shift, is, of course, a Walter.
