Shasta was a well known user on Halflife2.net, infamous for flaming most anyone who got on his nerves, especially those suspected of owning an illicit had copy of Half Life 2.

Shasta's account on Halflife2.net was put on global ignore as of June 2007.

The Stucco Episode

Shasta had a two month ban period in May - June 2007, and created a secondary account named Stucco. Stucco had the same attitude as Shasta (of course) and became Shasta's primary account following the global ignore of the Shasta account - Stucco was then banned on the 10th of August 2007 following this post in response to Baal's thread about his dead friend:

So what is your point? Your friend was an idiot boy-racer that couldn't drive to save his life (literally, apparently), and during one of his attempts to validate himself to his equally stupid buddies, he screwed up (what a surprise) and killed himself and some innocent person that was just walking down the road. Right so far?

Just because he was your friend, and wasn't "evil", doesn't mean he wasn't a retard screw-up that caused his own early demise, and took the life of an innocent bystander along with him. And you are crying because he had a bad photo in the paper? You are a moron.

If you are looking for sympathy for him, you came to the wrong place kid. 

The ban was issued by Munro, adding Shasta to the growing list of users who have been Munrowned.

Munro replied (or rather, edited his post) saying this:

There is no need to have such a negative view on everything and everyone, treating them all with utter disrespect. You're banned from the forum. Don't even attempt to sign up again, you are not welcome here.

Trivia

• A common side effect of spending too much time alone with Shasta is beginning to believe you are a figment of his imagination.
• It is rumoured that a moderator once issued Shasta an infraction for 'Trolling'.

  Upon receiving this infraction, Shasta wrote a 7000 word reply arguing his case, of which contained over 469 instances where he questioned the sexuality of said moderator. Upon receiving the reply, the moderator banned himself. He will remain anonymous to maintain his respect.

• It takes thirty puppeteers to make Shasta smile, but only four to make him burn down an orphanage.
• There is a mountain named Mount Shasta, however, unlike Shasta, it does not explode on a random basis.
• This mountain actually resides in America. Oh the irony.
• He lives in New Zealand, much to the dismay of other New Zealand based posters.
• Tollbooth Willie actively calls the game 'Tabula Rasa' Fabula Shasta. As to why this is is unkown.
