Newbie Thread

A Newbie Thread is a thread made by a new poster, normally a scanner on his first post. Hopefully the thread is in the Newbie Central section. Newbie threads posted in Newbie Central mostly contain spam and standard welcome messages like, "Don't feed the Banimal" or "welcome to HL2.net... it's safer here...". Newbie threads posted outside of Newbie Central better be of good quality or they will be the subject of much flaming aimed at the newbie. Often Newbie threads are found in the various help sections. This type of newbie is rarely seen after their problem is fixed.
