New Little Odessa

New Little Odessa (or NLO, in short) is a resistance outpost, under the command of Colonel Odessa Cubbage, located at the coast. It's the second major settlement along the coast, which was a fishing hamlet once.

In the Chapter VII: Highway 17 (second map, d2_coast_02) of Half-Life 2, player has an opportunity to see a secret meeting through the Combine binoculars between G-Man and Odessa Cubbage in the balcony of a building.

Later in the level, player reaches the base. In the basement of the building, Odessa Cubbage gives a brief about rocket launcher, then he hands it over to Gordon Freeman. During the conversation, a Combine Gunship attacks the base.

Gordon Freeman stops the attack, while Odessa stays at the basement and calls for help via the radio. After the end of attack, player leaves the base, and heads to bridge point, which is under the control of Combine Overwatch.

The effect of uprising and other events on the base is unknown.
