Kim Swift is a video game designer currently working for Valve Software on the First Person Puzzle game, Portal. Formerly a student at the DigiPen Institute of Technology in Redmond (Washington state), Swift was part of a seven person team hired 'on the spot' by Gabe Newell during a demonstration of their senior development project Narbacular Drop. She is very much the figurehead of the Portal team, as she has been interviewed by countless publications about Portal. In these interviews, she classically recites the story of how she and her fellow students were hired, and by any estimation, she is probably rather sick of doing so.
