Hool10 is another forumite who keeps HL2.net up-to-date on the latest Left 4 Dead[1] info provided by the left4dead411 forum.[2] He also posts strange news that he gets from the 'haus or the flamehaus.[3]

Nickname

Hool10 is usually just called Hool. It's actually a randomly generated name created by a computer. It was created to play games on a popular Disney tv show called "Zoog Disney". [4] Some character names were called Zooligan and hooligan. So they probably took hool and slapped on a 10. Thus hool10 was born. Since then I use the same username for just about everything and if you google hool10, you will get 4,080 hits. My alter ego other than hool10 was "Jack The Ripper!" for Counter-Strike in the WON days [5]. I'm so much a part of HL2.net though that I gave up the name and now I'm hool10 for everything.

History

I could go on and on about how I found Half-Life to the current time. To put it short, I originally found the game when a friend showed it to me in 1998. Then I bought the game in 2001 as the platinum collection, just 4 days after September 11th for my 13th birthday in the 7th grade. Instantly it became my favorite game to this very day. Been in a Counter-Strike clan at one point and even competed in CAL in later stages. I remember the patches on summer vacation since the 1.3 WON days. In 2004 I finally got cable internet and a better computer than a Compaq with a Pentium 2 CPU. Saw the birth of Steam and remember the few pictures of people running around with shields in Counter-Strike 1.6. These people were lucky to obtain the game though because Steam was always down. Then I saw the HL2 teaser trailer and it instantly blew me away after waiting a day for it to download. I was even more excited to find out the hidden multiplayer game was Counter-Strike in Source.

Bans

He has been banned a total of 2 times. The first time was for posting a picture of the cremator in the HL2 beta editor (at the time it was illegal). [6] The second time was posting a spoiler of Harry Potter: The Deathly Hollows. It was not a spoiler at all but rather mentioned in an interview with the author herself.

Hool10100

This name was used after hool10 was banned for posting a picture of the cremator picture. It was later changed back to hool10 after re-registering.
