Profile

As I'm sure you know, I'm one of the softer ones, so if you're looking for the weakest link, that's me. I've been involved in the community since the old king died. Before I joined Halflife2.net I used hang around in Counter Strike communities and clans, with connections to certain projects such as CS Realism packs. From moving to Halflife2.net in 04, I thoroughly enjoyed my time helping out in the community and watching the Half-life 2 and Episode 1 releases. In the time before Episode 2's release, Munro brought me on board with the great team of staff we currently have. Some faces have come and gone, including our previous Lead Editor (Chris) and I've been lucky enough to step into his shoes and manage this team. We have seen 2 major site updates in this time, including content updates, new newsposting staff and the latest news on the Halflife2.net front page. Just a few of the projects I said I'd help with after I joined as a content writer and junior editor.

Since then, the website has changed a lot, but it's still a great community. There are many faces which I can see being the potential next generation of the Halflife2.net team, supporting all the newest releases Valve produce.

Also, people keep asking, I get my name from the irony of my personality. Hectic is a ghetto term for 'awesome' or 'great' from my school days, and I used to take the piss out the Ali G style people in my year. I adopted the name Hectic Glenn as a joke, and when I signed up to half-life 2 my verification email to my original account never came. I made a second account "Hectic Glenn", and the rest...is history.
