A row of Half-Life 2: Survivor arcade machines in Japan
Half-Life 2: Survivor is a Japanese arcade game manufactured by the Taito Corporation. It is roughly based on Half-Life 2 and was released on 28th June 2006. Levels featured in the game range from Ravenholm and Water Hazard levels as well as unknown or new sections of City 17.
Gameplay features three modes; Story mode, which focuses on the events of the original game; a co-operative Mission mode and Battle mode, which has gameplay similar to Half-Life 2: Deathmatch.
The Story gameplay mode features little of the original Half-Life 2 story with the Zero Point Energy Field Manipulator, physics-based puzzles and Aylx, all missing. The only familiar signs of the Half-Life 2 storyline are seen with a introduction given to the player by the G-Man.
