History of Half-Life

I got Half-Life 2 at an EB games like 3 years ago for no reason at all, I didn't hear anything about the game, never even heard of the game, but for some reason, once I saw it, I just picked it up and bought it. (Seriously, no research or anything done on Half-Life 2 at all, I just saw it, never hearing anything about it, and picked it up and bought it, didn't even look around for any other games, it was weird, but worth it). After beating it several times, and playing G-Mod 9 (I refuse to pay for G-Mod 10!) for a long time, I decided to see what the first one was like, so I bought Half-Life 1, and ended up beating it, although it was ridiculously hard (shouldn't have played it on hard first time through..), I enjoyed it thoroughly. I haven't bought Episode 1 yet, I think I'll wait for Episode 2 to come out, then just buy them both.

UPDATE: Just bought Episode 1, and holy crap, I am buying Episode 2 at release. Episode 1 is freakin awesome!

Forum History

I joined the forums almost right after I got Half-Life 2, and after about 500 posts I was about to quit going to the forums, but then I found the General Off-Topic and General Games Chat, all of those 500 posts were just in the Half-Life 2 forums, and now I've got somewhere around 2,700 posts, and only about 550-600 of them are in Half-Life 2 forums, the rest are in General Off-Topic and General Games Chat. I would've quit if it weren't for those crazy freaks with their weird problems in the General Off-Topic forums, quite amusing. In Munro's "Name Change" thread, I had my name changed from what it was originally, Dog--, to Cave Canem, but I had it changed back recently back to Dog--. It's better that way.

Gaming History

I wasn't even a gamer until Half-Life 2, usually I'd just play games every so often, then go do something else, now I play them alot, my current focus right now is The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind for the PC with about 120 mods for it. Oblivion sucks balls compared to Morrowind, by the way. So here is my time-line of gaming things.

1991-1994 - Nintendo (NES) Donkey Kong! (I wasn't really into gaming then, considering I was born in 1991..)

1995-1998 - Sega Genesis (SEGA) Sonic 1, 2 and 3 and Cyborg Justice were my favorites.

1999-2002 - Playstation 1 (PS1) I didn't play it much, my favorites were Metal Gear Solid and GTA 1.

2000-2002 - Got my first Computer, only used it to look around the Internet, not good enough to play games.

2003-Present - Got my current computer, top of the line in 2003, still holding up fine!

2003-2006 - Playstation 2 (PS2) Metal Gear Solid 3 was my favorite, I didn't really play it alot until about 2005.

Late 2006 (Christmas) - Present - Got an XBOX 360 for Xmas, my favorites right now are Dead Rising and R6: Vegas, earlier 2007 I got a Wii, pretty much the only good game I have is Zelda... I don't play my Wii alot..

• I don't know if I got the dates right, I got every system the day they came out, except the NES, so if you wish, you can edit the dates to be more accurate.
