To All Those Getting Headaches Playing HL2!

Alright, from what I see, a lot of people complain of headaches caused by playing HL2. I noticed that the Source games tend to lock themselves at 60hz Refresh Rate, and give errors if a Refresh Rate Overrider is turned on. The fix to this is as follows:

1) Update your monitor's drivers.
2) Find out the Maximum Refresh Rate that your monitor supports for the resolution that you prefer gaming on (lowering resolution will result in higher possible refresh rates). This step is just for informational purposes. You may skip it since Step 4 completes this for you.
3) Download RefreshForce (google it).
4) Tell it to "Auto Find" your refresh rates and modes. Click Apply.
5) Go to Steam --> Right click Half-Life 2 --> select Properties --> select Launch Options.
Now you can specify the width, height and refresh rate of the screen on which you will be playing. Mine, for example is this: -w 1024 -h 768 -refresh 100
This means I am running a resolution of 1024x768 at a refresh rate of 100hz.
6) Click OK and close the Properties window.
7) It's best to restart your computer now, since you applied that RefreshForce fix.

Enjoy!!!

That program is good because it tells you your maximum refresh rates AND makes sure that they are used.

I became quite queasy after playing half of the airboat levels and had to stop. Never had that whilst playing a game before and wondered what might be causing it.

Only game that ever gave me motion sickness was HL1.. and I've probably played every major FPS that's been released since Wolf 3d... I think it's because in HL1 Gordon seems to move at like 30 mph... like he's on rocket skates or something. I thought maybe HL:S would be better, but it's the same thing. Oh well... at least HL2 doesn't give me problems.
