I don't know if anyone's already asked about this guy yet...but i was wondering if anyone had any idea if Adrian from Opposing forces was going to play a role in HL2??

Yes.. i know that he was put away in the end of OF...but do you think there's any chance he will show up?? post your thoughts

This has been discussed several times. Most people think that Shephard will show up in a HL2 expansion. Others think he will have some surprise role in HL2 itself. Nothing has been confirmed either way.

Myself, I still think Shephard will be revealed as the template for the Combine soldiers...but that's just a theory.

I dont know much about Shephard, but I'm guessing valve would have been aware of Hl1 fans interest in him, so would have put him in the game somewhere. I doubt he plays a major role like being the template for the combine soldiers, but instead we'll see his body in stasis or hear of him from gman or other.

It's more than likely that Shepard will not appear in Half-Life 2 as Gearbox owns the rights to Shepard's character. I don't think Shepard is that important in the grand scheme of things anyways.

I'm positive Gearbox doesn't own Barney and I doubt they own Shepherd really. I thought Valve owned the intellectual property of the Half-Life universe?
I suppose that depends somewhat on how their trial with Vivendi goes, but for the meantime...

Valve holds the IP over Half-Life, but any individual characters created by another company are owned by said company.

For a example Geno from Super Mario RPG belongs to SquareEnix even though he was in the Mario universe which is owned by Nintendo.

Wonder if he'll show up in the prison as a prisoner you free and then he joins the resistance?
