Annoying Christian Rock Band includes Trent Reznor in their lyrics
I was reading the Nine Inch Nails community over at greatestjournal, and one of the people found some lyrics by a christian rock band called Calibretto 13.
Puppet by Calibretto 13 I turn on the TV, and what do I see? Murder, and violence, and pornography. I turn on the radio, and it brings me to tears. All of the lies fed to the ears. A Hollywood puppet you are. If you can be sleazy you'll be a star. You're the devil's puppet hanging on a string. Dear Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. You say God is dead and we're all going to Hell. Well I got something to say. He's alive today, And he loves you so, and he wants you to know You're killing the kids. They're following you. You're feeding them lies. Cuz that's what you do. You're the devil's puppet hanging on a string. Go to L.A. Go to New York City. Hearts have grown cold, oh what a pity. Sex without love and self-respect gone. Drink yourself to death and party till dawn. You say I'm fanatical 'cause I try to live right. Pleasing to God, Holy in His sight. Well I know someone that you don't know. His name is Jesus and He loves you so. And He wants you to know. People today are looking for something To chase away that empty nothing. They don't want God, they push Him away. They say they'll find him some other day. So they look to drugs, they look to a psychic, Looking for something, but they'll never find it. You're the devil's puppet hanging on a string. That song sort of makes me want to reach down my throat, rip out my spleen, and squeeze it out on them.

How old is this song? Reznor hasn't made anything in 5 years... what followers? The only people still interested in nin are the ones that have always listened to them over the past 15 years.
Christians need to quit making music. And this guy should have his church burned down. With him in it.

Sorry, i don't really get into any lyrics where they express political/ personal opinions. I would like Rage and System of a DOwn a lot more if they kept their political activity outside their songs. I am glad they are involved in other ways than music, but I hate hearing it mixed.

there's a difference between a christian band, and a band on a christian label or with christian members. there are many, many bands out there labeled as 'christian' that have a lot of musical talent and some great songs. and just because they're christian doesnt mean that they have a message in their lyrics. thats the difference, imo.

God's not dead because he never existed.  And I, for one, am sick of christians saying "God loves you despite your evil ways". Who is that going to convince? Reznor: God is dead, and no one cares! If there is a hell, I'll see you there! Lame christian guy: Well, uh, god loves you and you're the devil. Now do what exactly what god says! Reznor: Well, shit! I guess god is real after all. I repent! It's not going to happen. All it could accomplish is to make other christians nod their head in approval, and murmer to each other: "Yes, our god is truly benevolent, to the point that it makes no sense to mortal man. Such is god's power! We certainly are holier than thou because we can claim to love things even though we don't actually love them."

i find NIN fanatics funny... c'mon people, it's just poetry (some of it good, some of it just dreadful) but to mostly really poor music (which i call noise) espcially songs like Star****ers inc and Where is everybody?... .
