Van Halen
Hey. Is anyone else here a big fan of Van Halen.
I think they are simply amazing, I have been watching quite a few VH videos and Eddie is absolutely brilliant with the guitar, especially his chord progression in Eruption. Tbh Eruption = Mozart Rock!

yay! halen ..liked them in the 70's/80's still have their first album which I bought when it first came out. Lost a little bit of edge with sammy but wasnt as bad as gary sherone or whatever his name is
best album: either fair warning or vh1

I'm sorry to bring this thread back up, but I was gonna post a new one and the search found this, seemed easier.
I absolutely love Van Halen. I only got into them about last March (when Battlefield Vietnam came out, I tried to download You Really Got Me by The Kinks but downloaded the Van Halen one instead and bought their greatest hits album  )I personally think Balance is a great album, different from their Lee Roth stuff but still good. Their Greatest Hits: Vol. 1 is also a great compilation of their stuff, I got Best Of Both Worlds and it annoyed me 'cause theirs too much stuff on it I don't like. The original Van Halen's their best in my opinion though, listening to Eruption now still amazes me, and imagining what people in '78 must of thought is even more so (I'm only 15). And yes, Gary Cherone was absolutely rubbish, he looks like he should be in RHCP or something, not Van Halen.
