Online DVD Rental! [New service for the UK]

MSN has recently started an internet service called MSN DVD Rental. Basically you subscribe and create a rental list. Depending on your subscription (between two and five a week) you will automatically receive these DVDs and you can keep them for as long as you like. Once you're done, just send them back and they'll send you 2, 3, 4 or 5 more (depending on your subscription). The subscription starts off with a 14-day trial and if you don't like it then you can cancel the subscription at any time. Free of charge!

Netflix has been doing this for years, and Gamefly does it for games. Its pretty cool.

Hmmm this does look interesting, but i only want to do the trial (i am a tight arse + i can get DVDs for free from my workplace)...they say to cancel it you have to have all your DVDs returned, what if you send one back and another gets immediately dispatched? Will they count that as you having it out and therefore unable to cancel?

They'll only send out what's on your rental list Murray. So if that's empty they'll be nothing to send out. Maybe you should just add two or three to the list at a time. That way after like 6, you know you're gonna cancel, just don't add any more to the list or remove the ones that are on there.

I now Gamefly's trial gave you a leeway period in which to return them after cancelation.

I was on Netflix for a while, cancelled because I couldn't think of anything to rent.

Got back on Netflix a little while ago, cancelled because I could'nt think of anything to rent.

It was pretty cool. I got in on it with my bro except he wouldn't watch his movies so we would have the same movies for like a month.

well I have a question about this service.

the maximum dvd's the allow you to have at any one time is 5 dvd's and say for isntance (hypotheically) I'm a trekkie and I want to rent out star trek: the next generation series 7 (which is 7) disks and they do have in stock... how the hell would this work?
