Will my system run it?

I need to know-what modelling software is best, and what system will I need to run it?

Right...

3d modelling software, is really a matter of preferance, and the system you wish to run it on will need lots of memory, and XP to run latest versions of things

Arse. I was thinking 3Dmax. Will 128 mb be enough?

3D software is usually very expensive, if you'd like to get your feet wet try http://www.wings3d.com/ - it's completely free modeling software. I would think it'd run on your system just fine.

and 128mb will not be enough for the latest version of 3dsmax, it eats Memory like anything!

If you plan to do scene modleing, with raytracing and such, i'd reccomend at least 1GB of RAM...

i agree.. you need quite a performance bitch to use 3dmax and other highend 3d packages. so i suggest you start with wing3d and or milkshape 3d ($20)

or use my "best friend" a easy to use softare that loans about anything to you. but watch ur back, they might kill ur PC witha virus!
