Hafe-life 2 Vs Deus Ex 2

Do you think that HALF-LIFE 2 will be better than DEUS EX 2, an give reason why?

They are both BIG populer games.

..one's a FPS RPG, the other's a FPS, you can't really compare them.

However, on the sequel side of things, I'm thinking HL2 will be a much better sequel than DX2 was

Half life 2 will own Deus Ex 2 just for the fact that it has a better mod community and because of story,better physics, and MUCH better AI. Deus Ex was a joke

HL2, very little contest in my opinion.

(I was horrified by DX2. They ruined my number two game of all time!)

Take DX2 as an example of what happens when you release a game that is unfinished, DX2 is what HL2 could have been if they released it at sep 30th

DX2 was expected to be a great game and IS blew it. Valve could do the same thing to HL2.

We can't be sure until it comes out.

I've been playing through DX², and although I've reconciled myself to the bizarre ammo system, the circular interface and the spartan inventory, I find it dissappointing on number of levels. The story is interesting enough, but the levels are fairly pedestrian both in size, appearance and atmosphere. I can't help but recall the Hong Kong levels of the original and feel that DX² just doesn't match upto them in any shape or form.

Also I hate the fact that aside from patrolling, none of the NPCs seem to do anything aside from stand around waiting for you to either shoot them or talk to them. Somehow it just seems a bit pointless to model up toilets in all of the apartments and buildings in the game for the sake of realism, when a sense of realism clearly hasn't been applied to the NPCs.

Even in KOTOR when you piss ppl off they stop talking/selling to you.

errr.... for the answer all u have to do is look in the "what have u ppl been smoking" thread. it is obvios that although my hardest efforts as a deus ex fan, i have failed to convince even the breadcrumbs on my table deus ex IW isnt a "pile of shit".
its impossible- every1 i talk to either hates it or loathes it...

hey! i'm the biggest Deus Ex fan out there!! it's my second favourite game of all time. first fave being Civilzation, second being Deus Ex, third being Half-Life. but the fact of the matter is that you haven't played DX:IW so you're not in the same position, as someone like me who has played it, to comment on the game.

HL2 vs. DX2...no contest. even though HL2 isn't out yet, from what i've seen in the vids and screens i'd say it's already beaten DX:IW.
