Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - Remember me?

Available on Steam for $4.99. This was one of the few movie adaptations that actually lived up to its promise. I was searching for a game to play on Steam and found this winner. I thought that it might trigger some fond memories of gaming in the 1980's. The game was released in May 1989 simultaneously with the movie. It was available for DOS, Amiga, Atari ST, and Mac OS. A CD-ROM version was later released for the FM-Towns, with 256-color graphics, as well as a VGA PC version. Video added for flavor.

An alternative game, newer, in very much the same style...

RPS made mention of this and got me hooked, so I thought I'd share it with those of you who might not have heard of it.

Spelunky is an indiana-jones type dynamic dungeon side-scroller in very much the same style. Also, it's free, so if you get done with the last crusade and want more (or simply something a bit different), I highly recommend you check it out.

You can find it below:

Man, this game is a classic, haven't played it in years. Still need to get it on steam. $5 really isn't that bad of a price

It's like saying I made an album that defined music of the millennium, but it was released in December 1999.

my family spent countless hours playing this game, it was a whole family affair, back when each room took literally 5 minutes to load... haha we never actually did beat it though because the 3rd from last room file was corrupt.

Great game!

I remember that game. I could never get past the catacombs part. You had to play some tune or something then something would happen. Something.
