My mate is asking for this for Christmas because he wants L4D and TF2 and would probably only pay slightly less for those two games in shops. Anyone know if this deal is permanent?

Valve knows there are a few people out there getting their friends into Steam for L4D, so this is an excellent time for those people to pickup 10 years worth of greatness while they are at it.

I own most of them already and the ones I don't I've already played and consider them just casual fun.

Valve, that's bordering on stupidity. I have alone, played day of defeat:source for more than 500 hours and that game is about $6 or something. The value far far far far outweighs the price.
I'm not sure why they price this stuff so cheaply. Great deal, great Christmas present.

Valve wins at everything, they know people will buy this as gifts and they also know a lot of None valve gamers are now coming into steam not knowing much about them. 100% win. We will have a lot of new Half-Life Fans soon! Good preparation for Episode 3 also. Seriously 100% win.
Im also 99% sure Valve beat its people playing Games on steam today. Breaking 1.4 Mil. I pretty much check the player counts everyday, like seeing Valves progress. 1,432,785 http://store.steampowered.com/stats/

I have all of those games (sans Peggles), but this is such an awesome deal I feel like buying it any way!
