Stop. Ninja Time!

On Steam! The latest game to arrive on Steam is 'Ninja Reflex: Steamworks Edition' which appropriately is Ninja Reflex with loads of added Steamworks love.

Guided by your Sensei, master 300 martial arts challenges that test your reflexes, sharpen your hand-eye coordination, and measure your reaction time to the millisecond. As you strive to earn a 3rd degree black belt, unlock over 50 Steam achievements and compete in local multiplayer battles with up to 4 ninjas-in-training.
There also promises to be a bunch of Half-Life and Portal Easter Eggs in Ninja Reflex. It is available right now for $8.95 which is 10% off its regular price. This offer lasts until the 28th of March. More Info.

Website fails at telling me about the gameplay. Too much shitty flash and not enough use of the frikkin English language.

Unless a picture is so good it practically grabs me by the ears and skull****s me, I typically give new games about 2-3 minutes to pique my interest or at least tell me why I should care in the slightest. I'm sorry to say this game's website tells me little-to-nothing about how I play this game if I don't have a Wii Remote, so it epically fails on that count. There's no PC-specific information on the control system or on how many levels the game has.

It looks like it might be fun on the Wii, but it looks like a lot of that enjoyment doesn't transfer to the PC interface. Why this is on Steam I don't know (other than to cash in on Portal/Half-Life junkies looking for their next fix of cheap game tie-ins. Peggle at least was good, this looks like a Wii game on the PC. When I saw one of the main features is a Ninja name generator, I closed the website in despair. Is it any wonder that so many Indie game developers fall through if they fail so epically at basic product marketing and website design?

If I had a Wii, I would buy this for my kids (if I had kids). Since I have no indication of how well this has been ported to the PC, I would not buy this for my kids, because I can think of about a gazillion other beautiful retro games suitable for young people.
