Individual Oranges hit retail April 9th
For those who thinks the Orange Box a bad deal because they already have Half-Life 2 and Episode One, Valve has confirmed to Joystiq that the individually boxed Orange Box PC games are due to hit physical shelves on April 9th.
![]() Valve has yet to officially announce pricing details, but retailers currently list Portal at $19.99,Team Fortress 2 and The Half-Life 2 Episodes Pack at$29.99 each. |

You would have to be silly to not buy the Orange Box simply because you get 2 games which you already own for free.

I agree that it is not reason enough to not buy the OB, but hl2/ep1 were not free. They came at the expense of the black box. Pricing details were not anounced, but it would obviously have been cheaper than the OB.

Agreed. Buying them individually obviously is not as good of a deal as buying the OB. Buying the OB is the best option if you want more than one of those games, even if you already own 2 of them.

Wasn't it axed because retailers or the distributor didn't want multiple SKUs for launch? The price for the black box would have been $39.99. Either Valve released that information or ATI announced it's value since it bundled them with their cards. Last edited by Asus; 06-03-2008 at 10:02 PM. |

http://www.amazon.com/Electronic-Art...4844956&sr=1-1 http://www.amazon.com/Electronic-Art...845024&sr=1-30 Same art is listed in gamestop. Looking good id say. This will sell very well, now that everyday people can enter a retail shop and know what the games are. Orange Box is way confusing for your every day Joe.
