It's largely because of his insane hyperbole regarding... everything he's ever talked about while on Fox. The whole "Glenn Beck raped and murdered a girl in 1990" thing stems from a joke Gilbert Gottfried made about Bob Saget, that someone turned and made it into a joke about Glenn Beck as a satire of the "birthers" movement at the time.

Besides calling Obama a "racist with a deep-seated hatred of white people" (Obama's mum is white by the way) he regularly calls for revolutionary action towards the white house for their Marxist/Fascist/Communist agenda, only stopping short to remind viewers to not actually be violent against anyone. He's compared the current healthcare reform bill to [b]9/11[b] saying it is an attack on America's freedom. While he was still a shock jock back in the 90's, he called up a co-workers wife to insult her and her husband about having a miscarriage by saying he couldn't even do that right. The reason for this display of class was because said coworker called him out on air for attacking another coworker with endless fat jokes.

Ironically, he'll bring up Obama's (brief) association with Bill Ayers yet begs his audience not to dig into his past of douchebaggery because he is a changed man. The thing that makes this ironic is that Bill Ayers served his time and regrets his crimes and his violent actions with the Weather Underground, and is now a productive member of society. However Glenn Beck is still being a massive douchebag for saying he wants to kill Charlie Rangle with a shovel, having a psychiartrist on his show to diagnose his critics as insane, massively embellishing if not lying about almost everything he talks about including even a simple social encounter with Whoopie Goldberg and Barbara Walter on the New York subway, and for telling 9/11 families to shut up and stop whining about 9/11 and their loss while invoking 9/11 to further his own political bullshittery.

Now, that's not even the tip of the iceberg but I don't want to drag this on any further.

TLDR: Glenn Beck is a pathological liar and is a despicable tool. I'm tempted to say he's as bad as Rush Limbaugh but I almost think he's worse.

It's quite funny, but I believe the Onion is taking it a bit too far, wanting Glenn Beck to die. I know it's supposed to be a joke, but they could've just made fun of a random fat kid or something. I guess those types of topics are getting old, but I still find them to be very funny.
Eh, I shouldn't even be saying anything; I still love the Onion for its humor and insults.

He's a douchebag, better people die every day. I can't say it would exactly ruin my day if I caught "Glenn Beck found dead today..." on the way out the door.
