One thing i thought of is martial arts as a growing trend in the games. It's not quite broken through yet, but it's starting too. Not just martial arts, but anything where you have a more dynamic attack system. For example that you can do a melee attack with your weapon in COD and so on.

Like if you're playing Half Life 2, and something jumps at you. It would be more convenient if the character could somehow block the attack, instead of just holding a shotgun and doing nothing. It's just a thought. Modern 3d action games are still kind of new. Movies didn't really have martial arts in them in the beginning either, but now theres a fight scene in every one of them. It might become popular in action games aswell, seeing as it's both realistic and practical.

Doesn't Condemned: Criminal Origins have something some things? You can break necks, do headbutts and also have to time your blocks.

Yeh - Condemned does this well. Blocking, kicks, finishing moves etc. Despite being a short game, it is very good, and a breath of fresh air.

I second that. I was most impressed by this game. Everything was superb.

Guess i better check out Condemned. This is a realistic change though, especially with the new consoles coming out and people looking for new possibilities in the games.

F.E.A.R. also has some melee attacks, like a ninja-kick through the air :O
And you can also slide and knock an enemy over like pins :D (Makes for some hilarious multiplayer occasions :p)

Though not too complex, The Specialists had some killer fun Fu action. Probably the only game I have played where guns were both devistating, but vulnerable to kung fu and cutlery attacks as well. Perhaps not really martial arts, but the Bushido Blade games for playstation from long ago were incredibly well done sword fighting games. Cheers and merry Christmas.
