X800XL not very good ?

Played some Day Of Defeat Source today with my X800XL card, with the same settings as I used for my X800PRO and I've noticed that the FPS is really low, 20-30 FPS usually with 1024x768/High/AA 2X.

Im not sure if its worse or better than the PRO but it sure feels more laggy and sometimes i get like 9 fps for few seconds :(

Only difference with the PRO and XL is that I'm using the newest Catalyst drivers ( 5.11 ) and before I think it was 5.9

What were the temps at? Might have underclocked itself.

Mine too.. try turning it off down or off and see how it affects the fps.

My X800 XL rocks. Maybe you didn't completely uninstall the 5.9's before you installed the 5.11s ? I play Quake 4 in 1600x1200 on medium detail, HL2 on full 2048x1536 (no aa), BF2 on 2048x1536 high textures, geo, terrain, filtering and 100% view distance all on high, rest of settings (the ones that dont matter) on medium....

Garfield_ I'm now questioning if you can run a PC correctly, so many issues you've had....

Do this format the drive and start from scratch, hopefully this will solve a few things.

The X800 XL is only slightly better than X800 Pro

i have an x800xl it runs pretty good on DOD:S with hdr and every thing on high and 2xaa and 2xaaf i get about 20-70 fps
