just got back from from the show which featured Death From Above 1979 (opening act), Queens Of The Stoneage and lastly and most aniticipated, Nine Inch Nails
sound check: okay...i'll be honest, nothing beats a sound check!!!!!
i got to go in for it and stood within 10 ****ing feet of the man himself, Trent Reznor!!!!
so since sound check isn't something everyone gets to get in for every day, lets just keep it separate from the rest of the show for a minute.
personally, i had not heard very many tunes of DFA1979..infact i only knew of one song (Romantic rights) and honestly, they surprised/impressed the hell outta me!! :smoking:
Queens Of The Stoneage: they were amazing!!! again, i hadn't heard most of their stuff and was seriously impressed with every tune they played :)
NiN: lets put it this way...sold out Air Canada Centre stood for the entire time Trent & company were on stage...they rocked that building like no tomorrow and simply put, best concert i been to as of tonight :afro:
did anyone else go to this show or a show on this tour? if not, trust me.. its well worth it.
if u get a chance to see any of these bands, give em a try.. they definitely put on a hellva show :P

I got to see them in Austria when they had the With Teeth tour going through there. It was ****ing amazing. I nearly freakin' died being up near the front for about 85% of the time, but it was worth it.
"March Of The Pigs" kills people, I swear.

Argh, I tried to get tickets for the show in Detroit, but they were all sold out the first day -- well the good seats. Hold me as well.

signing up for the Spiral fanclub has its perks :dork:
seriously tho...the best and most important perk of the Spiral fanclub is/was the presale of tickets.
what this means is, if u are a Spiral member, u get first dibs at any tickets to any show before it is available to the general public.
another perk? sound check/possible meet & greet baby!!
imagine being within 10 feet of Trent Reznor...yeah that was me ;)

Is Spiral really worth it? I considered coughing up the dough, but I'm just not sure.

Yeah, you get to chat with Trent and the band but there's a wall between you. Homosexual.

well depends what u want out of Spiral membership.
remember, without the membership, u get absolutely no sound checks and no possibly meet & greets... and these things are important to fans who really follow the band such as myself.
and its not just one sound check/meet & greet...keep in mind, Spiral members have access to presales to shows in other cities too... now i don't know how much that means to u personally but i know i was considering attending the Montreal show as well as this Toronto show... that would mean at least two sound checks which is huge.
plus members have access to tour footage from other shows and visuals as well.
theres also a chat room and Trent and the rest of the band have been in that chat a few times although this does not mean as much to most people... and of course the usual fan club membership package.
i see it mainly as a huge advantage for ticket presale for shows i know i can make it to..thats mainly how i view my money spent for the membership.

i just got back from the Winnipeg show tonight (Nov 14), ****ing awesome, probably best show i've ever been to. i would've loved to have been in the pit, those tickets were sold out though. :( got decent seats anyway, 5th row just to the left of the stage.
and yes, the place went nuts during march of the pigs.

Hold me.
was it u who said NiN were not coming to a town near u?
if so...keep hope because tonight i was part of a special chat with the man himself, Trent Reznor.
they have planned the second leg of their tour in smaller cities/venues.
keep checking the performance page over at nin.com
sounds like this second part of the tour will be even better :)

u should consider it...the benefit of ticket presales is so worth it alone...not to mention the other neat things u get.
Oh god damn it. I haven't managed to get to a show and I probably won't be able to :(

i don't know how far Greenville, SC is from where u live but over at nin.com's performance page (http://nin.com/tour/index.html), new dates have been posted and Greenville, SC is one of the dates.
NiN will be touring smaller areas now so if Greenville isn't close enough, hopefully Trent and company come closer to u :)
