Ballads pwn

What are your favourite ballads? I think "Solitude" by Black Sabbath is the most underrated ballad ever. It's just fantastic. It crowns the dark and creeping atmosphere of "Master of Reality" (the album, you n00bs). Actually the song made me start this thread.

Also "Letter to Dana" by Sonata Arctica and "Still Loving You" by Scorpions get honorable mentions.

Ballads you say, well my forum rep as the Metal head will fall drastically with this but:

Bryan Adams: Summer of 69
Aerosmith: That really good one from the apocalypsical movie
Bon Jovi: Always (What November Rain wanted to be :P )

Ballads are usually annoying...I'll agree that Black Sabbath's song Solitude is excellent, though. Very simple, but at the same time the emotion expressed is incredibly vivid. Blood Tears by Blind Guardian is also excellent.

Summer of 69 is fantastic, but I wouldn't rate it as a ballad
