Ride the Lighting is my favourite 'tallica album. Creeping Death alone makes that album awesome.
But yeah, I like them. For the first time in a long time I listened to them again last night. Kill 'Em All, great album.

My favorite album is Master of Puppets, havent listened to any of the others in awhile.
Everything before the self-titled is great. Not absolutely incredible, but great.
...and that's all I have to say about them.

Megadeth is better. I've been to a few Megadeth concerts...Dave Mustaine bashes the SHIT out of metallica.
I like Metallica though.

too dull and uninspired for my tastes
now, BRING ON THE FLAMES
I love the ****in socks off of Metallica!
Fave Studio Album: "The Black Album"
Fave Album Overall: "S&M"
Fave Songs: Wherever I May Roam, Fade to Black and The Unforgiven
I also think Jason was their best bassist, don't get me wrong Cliff was frickin awesome, but Jason had something that was much better imho.
St. Anger was their weakest record ever, a good metal album, a bad Metallica album (if ya get me)
w00t I Disappear now playing! :E

Last time I checked the Metallica.com forums, there were rumours floating that Metallica had recorded "some heavy shit" for the next album, and that "it sounded like Master of Puppets 2"
Yeah, some guy had supposedly heard it backstage or something...

Yeah, some guy had supposedly heard it backstage or something...That had better be true. They were too high on the fame machine up until their "return to form" in St. Anger...and I think they were too drugged up when St. Anger came around to actually produce good music. Let's hope what this guy is saying is true, because that would be great. To be honest, I actually like the newer Metallica vocal style. Hetfield is a crappy singer, but he's got a good vibe to him now (or at least on the S&M album) and it'd be nice to hear those vocals along with their classic style.

I love metallica, they are the only kind of metal band I like. I think metallica represents real "metal" but since so much metal is now so different from metallica i am forced to say they arent really. You can hear each tonality of each instrument and voicing, its not muddy, its loud and clear the way its meant to be. Metal isnt supposed to be muddy and so deep you just can even hear anything besides the low power chords on the guitar. Metallica did a fine job of mixing in different styles of music with theirs as well proving their ability to play more than just simple riffs. They are probably the best out their from an intellectual standpoint.
My favorite album: S&M
Favorite Songs:
For whom the bell tolls (S&M)
Fade To Black(S&M)
Call of Ktulu(S&M)
Master of puppets(S&M)
The Unforgiven
Great overall band...one of the few bands that can pull off the idea that you dont hear any specific member of the band competing with the other (trying to be louder basically). Most metal usually has one member who is totally just doing his own thing.

I used to like Metallica so much back when I was in High School, don't listen to them at all anymore.
Ride The Lightning ftw though.

Metallica is good since you can actually hear what they are saying, unlike most metal bands today.
