Big Time Help Needed

I need help understanding this computer jargon. I have 1 GB of RAM? 1.7 MHz of processor speed and a ati mobility radeon 9000 graphics card. Will my laptop computer run Half-Life 2? Not only that but will it be able to run it with the graphic settings on atleast medium or better and run smoothly will minimun/no slow down. I played the game at my friend's house but now I want it for myself but am unsure if my laptop will be able to handle it. If anyone knows anything about this stuff I will be greatly appreciative.

it will handle it all on high i have the same setup on my laptop except with 512mb ram

you will be able to play it on ur laptop, but id say most of your video settings would have to be set to low if you wanted smooth gameplay
