im looking to buy day of defeat source when it comes out in a few days. I do not as of right now have half-life 2. my friend told me that he thinks i will need to have half-life 2 in order to run DOD S. is this true??

I think you can buy DoD:S as a standalone product. You dont need HL2 as far as I know.

No i'm pretty sure you can buy DoD:S as a standalone game - remember its just a game that uses the source engine now ;)

As long as u have steam u can hav dod:s, hl2 not required
