I might get this. The AI was very impressive. But the PC Gamer review said that its only 10 hours long.

Wow, a couple months before this date I always thought FEAR actually coming out would be long, it's just around the corner. I almost forgot about the game.

There's plenty of good 10 hr games out there.

MGS1, 2 & 3 are just the first few that come to mind and those games ruled.

HL2 wasn't even that much longer. I think I beat HL2 in like 15 hours or something the first time through.

mg3 10 hours? that took me like 20 to finish...you musta speed-runned mate;)

Well it's longer than that but it's still in the 10-20 window. I forget how long it took me to beat MGS3. I think it was around 14-15 hours for me. I've played the other 2 a ton so I guess that helped me get through it quicker.

I am not paying $50 for a 10 hour game no matter what it is.

Where do you live??? Where I am It's Already Out At The EB Games By My House (I asked them and they showed me a copy)

I Would get it but... MY GRAPHICS CARD SUCKS ANUS!! GeForce FX 5600! I'll Have to run it on the worst graphics settings, and I'm not paying $500 for a new GFX card.. I'll Save some more money THEN I will Buy a graphics card, Until then, I'm not getting any new games, Graphics TO Crappy! My GFX Card Sucks!!! :(

Big difference between a 10 hour game and 15 hours.

For example, Halo was close to 10 hours. Not bad, pretty fun game too.
Halo 2 was about 6, maybe 7 hours. Even though it was only 3 hours difference, the first Halo made a much better and bigger impression then the 2nd one did. And it was much better too.

Totally gonna get this, hope its not too short though, might need to upgrade the pc alittle before I get this, although the demo ran ok, not brilliant though.

hmm..since some here have been claiming that this game ran poorly on lower end PC's im asking u guys here.

should i get this game?
my comp specs are as follows:

Athlon 2500+
9800 Pro 128mb
1gig DDR ram

will the game run poorly on my pc? worth the investment?

It will run, try donwloading the Demo.
It ran fine with my Athlon 2400+, 9600XT 128mb, 1gig ram.

Not anywhere near high, but it still looked good....when my 7800GTX comes around with my newest rig...heh....how should I put it..

I will wait and see how long it takes you guys to beat it. I am going to start being a little more wary of the money I spend on games.

I can't play multiplayer so I want to make sure the singleplayer is worth it.

The only thing that it has is a little better AI than current shooters, and the slow mo effect. Minus the slow mo effect and it's overall no better than other shooters.

The demo was spoiled for me since I knew when all the scary parts happen.

I won't be laying down $50 for the game. Maybe when or if it drops in price, or if I find a pre-used copy.

That's why you didn't think it was fun! This is why you don't read forum threads about games before you play them :P The game is sooo scary and fun the first time you play it because you have no clue when anything will happen.

I remember in Doom3 there was a part spoiled for me in a trailer video, and I was so bummed. I can see how you'd feel this way.
