Sam & Max to return !

Telltale Games has received the go-ahead to develop another Sam & Max game from the characters creator Steve Purcell, with them making the surprise announcement at the end of a keynote speech in San Francisco to the Future of Digital Entertainment conference.

The game Telltale are to develop will be completely original and has nothing to do with the canned Lucasarts Sam & Max: Freelance Police title which had been much anticipated by fans.

This is great news indeed, but what is going to happen to the 90% of the Freelance Police material that was made? I can't imagine trashing that much of a game--hopefully they can use some of the resources to get this new one out more quickly. And without a doubt, Telltale will be very kind to our friends Sam and Max. :E

Awesome news, I just hope it turns out good. I hadn't heard of Telltale before now but as they are former Lucas Arts people I guess they know what they are doing. Sounds like yet another game to add to the list of episodic gaming as well!!
