I know this game is for next-gen that is why I said wait until they release a GTA for the next gen, then compare.

As for the customizing, thanks for the heads up... If we were forced to play as that guy from the vids I wouldn't get it for sure.

HOLY SHISTA those physics look sweet! :eek: Is that the novadex engine?
Also those graphics are pretty good assuming this game's levels are as big as GTA's.

looks like a complete rip off of GTA:SA just with better graphics...

in one of the vids the guy mentioned acouple of things you can do in the game as if it it's the first game to be doing it....except of course GTA:SA already has done those things...

One thing I was wondering about the 360/other new consoles is will they be allowing for mouse/keyboard support, or are they strictly controller only? I would have thought that they would shift more consoles if they did this because they would appeal to the pc gamer who doesn't like shelling-out for upgrades.

GTA - Vice City/ San Andreas - £20
Xbox 360 - £400
Saint's Row - £40

Some things in life are worth buying. For everything else there's the 360.

You should be able to plug in your mouse and keyboard but i doubt it .

Actually, it all depends on the game really (or the OS for X360 if it will allow it to be used during normal use).

You can get the Xbox360 Controller for a PC for 50-60 bucks (as stated in one of M$'s press releases about it's new gaming mouse), and I don't see why you can't go the other way around, and plug PC things into a X360.

Even if its like GTA For me its entirely a new game

1.Ragdolls
2.Havok 3 engine
3.Awsome explosions
4.Excellent vehicle damage more than 30 parts on a car are blown everywhere when it explodes.
5.Cooler missions
6.HDR i think

And its only 50% completed so expect more out of this game when its ready.

Wow. Out of all the GTA clones this is by far the most shameless. I don't see why you people are so excited about this. It's just San Andreas slapped into a newer engine and created by a far less talented team that doesn't have a shred of creativity.

The new GTA will blow you away, but this game probably won't surpass the current ones as far as gameplay goes. Just wait for the quality product to be released, unless you think the shininess factor is enough to cover up the fact that it's nothing more than a blatant rip off of a far superior product.

Its a GTA ripoff with out a doubt but it still looks pretty neat. Graphics look good, ragdolls, and physics also look pretty amazing.

How do you know? Perhaps you own a magical crystal ball huh?

It could have the same fun factor as San Andreas. Or it might be a lot more fun. At this point, we just don't know.

Why did i even start this thread i knew this would happin. I personally think all you guys that will buy the 360, will either rent or buy the game. Wait for the final product. Just like the review siad these type of thug life games is what people want and will be with us for many years to come.

The fact that the game focuses on "thug life" isn't the problem, Rockstar doesn't own the rights to games focused on criminals. Look at the movements, the type of actions that are available, the animations, etc. It is ridiculous. This isn't a True Crimes or The Getaway where they take a few of the core ideas and then make a completely different game. They ripped off EVERYTHING. Rockstar could sue them, it's unbelievable.

It's obvious that the development team wasn't even attempting to make an original game. You couldn't even say they were inspired by GTA. No, they flat out directly copied every aspect of it in an attempt to cash in on the games popularity. Their goal is obviously to provide a "GTA-Lite" experience for the people too who want nice graphics and are too impatient to wait for the real thing.

Grand theft auto is a multi million dollar making game. What i dont understand , most of the people that baught GTA3 baught vice city and san andreas , WHY? it has the same graphics and so on. 50$ for new missions WOW. Thats why Milloins of people are going to buy this game because it has newer graphics. Just like we all baught Half life 2 cause of the new storyline and kick ass graphics engine.

Microsoft confirm Today that 360 is coming Nov. 22 North America. And Saints Row is one of many Launch titles YAY!!!

These games are so similar someone should probably investigate the source code. I mean, it's like the design document was only one sentence:

"Exactly like GTA:SA, but with better graphics... and a theme just different enough to not get sued."

... and I bet the "quality assurance" team's job is to make sure it feels exactly like GTA.

My guess is that it will be like True Crime: Streets of LA and LOOK like it's an open game, but just be a level based P.O.S with few options
