Can anyone recommend some books of either film or video game concept art?

I plan on picking up HL2: Raising the Bar (which I can't believe I completely forgot about ). I was hoping to find one for The Fifth Element but I guess there isn't one.

Thanks ahead.

unbelieveable.....

what? :hmph:

This has nothing to do with you. I want to start collecting books on art to get me inspired since I have been out of my drawing loop for some time now.

Any books you can suggest?

edit: wow I love the new edit, how long has it been like this?

alright, ok, I'll keep a civil tounge in your presence. But for the record I do not know any books of that reference.
But, ah if you ever need anything you know other than concept art I'm here rain or shine.

Doesn't have to be on concept art.

I hear there are quite nice "art of" books for Spirited Away, Porco Rosso and Howl's Moving Castle. The Japanese series covers all of Studio Ghibli's films AFAIK... helps if you're an anime fan of course :P

Heres a list of about 50 concept art books, including some ones mentioned here (spirited away..etc.). Wish I could find that metal gear book crush was talking about though :\.

Here is some Homeworld 2 concept art, www.well-of-souls.com/homeworld/hws/index.html

If you don't know what Homeworld is it's a space based RTS, so the concept art has lots of space ships and the like.

the fifth element was directly lifted from Jean Giraud's work as Moebius (http://www.bpib.com/illustrat/giraud.htm) ..he was the main designer

there's a ton of artwork compiliations in graphic novel form ...any good comic book store should have it
