For the contextual art module( Art history ) im producing a website to display my essay along with a time line of info, if you need more info about it just ask,

basically im doing it in flash because it lacks in constraints when it comes to designing what i like, and the fact that it wll be displayed ona computer in an art exhibiont means it doesnt matter how large the site is

i reckon its to boring atm, thinking of putting in a opaque image of some photorealist peice to improve eye candy levels, behind the plate or onto of the plates bg but behind text

Any, ANY! suggestions on how i could improve it i would kill for :)

Good idea but the graphics isnt nice at all, but dunno if you're looking to make something great or just a site with good content.
If you really want, i could fix the graphics for you for free.

• The banner is too huge

Ok, here's what you do. Listen carefully now. Make a black background 640x480, do some really simple horizontal buttons with your links with a 1px stroke inside. Then get all your high quality photos and do an inner-glow with normal blending mode with a color of black and put them around where you think looks good. If you want a banner, um, do something a bit more high quality and not something you found off google.

Example in like uhh, 20 minutes.

yeh after looking at blue on diff monitor (ones at work) its ugly!

Boring draw out several "unique" concepts ona sheet of paper then try to build then in flash like so. i thik people would be more interested if it was more unique more joims :D

not sure if its unique but its better, n dont worry about lack of colours, the fact that im building an intereactive sketchbook into this, should help and my sketchbook uses yellow orange and red:P, lovel contrast against the grey!:P

tips..???:)
