View Full Version : Warcraft Comics - by Sulk and Sui

Basically, over the past few weeks myself and Sulkdodds have been designing our own short Warcraft comics, to pass the time :) One person has been writing the story and pencilling the comic, and the other has been inking it. So, without further ado, I give you the first page of each comic;

"Betrayed"

I've been pencilling this in a very solid, bold style; and Sulk has transferred this into the inking stage perfectly :D Personally I love his shading, I suck at shading. I'm not giving any of the story away, but I will say this: The main character is a Dark Elf (Yes, I said Dark and not Night). I hope the opening intrigues you :P

Unlike Betrayed, This is a story about two... "unique" characters, and their hunt for... DRAGONS! :D I've purposely inked it very scratchily and thin, mainly because (again, unlike betrayed) the story is very light humoured. I dunno, it just felt right.

I hopw you enjoy these, and we'll be posting more soon. WE're also making a WoW Machinima, so we'll keep you informed on that, too ;)

Looks like good stuff, although I don't play WoW. Shading in the first one is indeed cool.

Never played Warcraft or World of Warcraft, since I'm not into RPG's, but I must say those comics are fantastic. Nice work! :)

So... how long did it take to make each page? Also, when can we expect more to the comics and/or the machinima? :)

Also, got any tips for me? I plan to start my own comic, just as soon as I get a tablet (I hate scanning my drawings).

Umm... plan, and practice, and plan some more! And don't be afraid to experoment :D

Very nice you two! Everything looks really sharp and professional. I'm not into WoW but I can still appreciate the work that's gone into these.

Keep it up! I expect the full comics on my desk first thing tommorow. ;)

Looks fairly good. Great story-telling as well, I love the composition.

My crits (I hope you appreciate them):

The shading is a bit simple. It like the lines are just thicker on the side it's supposed to be lighter. If it,s night, it should be mostly black with white shine, rather than white with dark shadows, especially since the moon is shining from behind the characters.I actually liked the art on the second one better.Although the story is not as good, I like skulldodds drawing's and suicide's inking better. Don't take it the wrong way either of you, you're both great artists. Just keep improving.
