Yeah, I'm not really in support of Live 8 that much because I don't really agree with the solution that they're proposing, but it'll happen regardless, so I may as well watch it :)

Not bad so far, I enjoyed Sir Elton John and Pete Doherty - Children of the Revolution quite a bit!

my dad was talking to the killers in london 6 months ago for an hour in a hotel.

he told me on the phone that he was talking to them in a chip shop a few nights ago in Cardiff...

what are the chances of that?? LOL

I think the crowds a bit dead

But i really enjoyed U2, coldplay, stereophonics, REM, and can't wait for Keane, Snow Patrol, The Killers and Razorlight. This seriously owns, live 8 is a damn good idea. Oh and Ricky Gervais is cracking me up as usual.

'Been on the phone to bush and Blair and they've quadrupled aid, go home everyone and take litter with you!'

Kangy

I didn't think Gervais was funny at all. He was doing a bit of a "drunk uncle at Christmas" thing, very sad.

7:30-ish towards 8-ish, I think. I'm guessing anyway. To be safe, watch it from now, although you have to watch alot of shit first, which is why I'm recording from this point on. ;D

Almost 8 and they're still not on yet. The Killers are on after Snow Patrol. Floyd must be near the very end with Paul McCartney.

Yeah, they are on like, second or thrid from last. I have no idea when the show ends, so I was taking a guess at 8-ish.

We have a timetable printed off downstairs, but thats all over the place. If the band that are playing at the moment are The Killers, as you say, then this timetable is f.ucked. It says they were on about 4-ish, yet they are on stage now? I'd like to know a confirmed time for Pink Floyd so I can go and watch rather then keep running up and downstairs to see if they are on. >:{ Ah well, its recording.

EDIT: And I must say, the crowd are the most boring crowd I have seen at a festival or on TV.

i thought keane were good, the last song in particurlar, 'bedshaped', looking forward to snow patrol too, some bands aren't really me cup of tea, pete doherty, could anyone actually hear him?:hmph:

the crowd seem a bit flat too but alot of the songs are just meh, not exactly up-tempo or anything.

Did you all see Velvet Revolver? They just blew the stage away. I don't have their album but I'm a fan of the Stone Temple Pilots & Guns N' Roses.

Weiland's interview at the end was pretty funny with the 500BC thing, although I hate him because he's a wife beater.

What the hell was with the opening camera? I want to see Floyd's whole set, that includes them walking on stage. All I got to bloody see was the camera EVER SO SLOWLY move over the crowd and get to stage just as Breathe came on. Man, I was actually shouting at the TV ''GET TO THE ****ING STAGE YOU ****ING IDIOT'' That was silly, but who cares, Floyd is on, and they are kicking the ass. ;D ;D ;D

I don't mind pink floyd too much, just not a fan cept for brick in the wall which they didn't play. I just think they shouldn't have been near the end like that cos they were pretty quiet and too all the energy out the end of the show. And how can you say that about SIR paul, all his songs are excellent, and he always ends because hes the best at it. Great show overall though. See you lot in 20 years time?

It's possible though unlikely that they will, Dave Gilmour said that they didn't intend this to be the start of a new era for Pink Floyd, just a re-union for a good cause.

I thought The Who still played better than every band before them on that day, and would've been the best if not for Pink Floyd.
