Hl2 Help!

hi i recenctly bought and installed hl2 and cs source and both games run perfectly fine both graphics sound etc.
But today i downloaded and installed the lastest drivers for my nvidia MSI 128mg geoforce 4 ti46000 video card and now i cant play either game.

When i try and open the game it starts up and goes to the loading screen before the menu screen and quits saying there has been a video provblem and it restarts the game again in a window and still doesn't work and it even somtimes comes up saying i dont have directx 7 or greater installed on my pc even though i have version 9C.

Can anybody help me!!!!

uninstall video card then reinstall. -,.-

i tried that twice both with the new driver and old driver and i enven uninstalled the game!!!!!. is there a way of uninstalling directx. cause i thought if i uninstall the game and video driver and directx it might fix the problem.

Either roll back your drivers, or grab the betas. The new drivers have a bit of problems. I'd recommend betas though, as the last driver set wasn't too good.

i triued roll back it made the problem worse i am now downloading the beta drivers and will let you know the result.

i managed to reinstall old nvida drivers and the game is running fine but i need to upgrade my drivers should i try and update the drivers again?

If it works, then you don't "need" to update ur drivers.
