So I finally got a good camera, an EOS 350D. But because I'm a noob I chose the one with the kit lense, so that I don't spend 300 on a lense I'll never use.
Anyway I spent the weekend shooting and I thought these turned out quite well.

Loving the soft shadowing on the last snail. Needs some HDR in there though.

EDIT: Oooh, this is Rl, sorry.

Heheh :)

Wish I could afford a nice DLSR, I had my eye on the 350, but U/W housings are so goddamn dear for anything reflex... I'm stuck with my 700UZ :(

It's so crisp... Need more pictures! They don't have to be artistic, I just need more crispness... It's so... good...

we use some pretty nice Digital SLR's here at school for the school newspaper, so i get to have fun, we had canon eos 1ds, i really didnt work with them much as my roomate was the great photographer, but nice looking pics. I hope i will get to use them more this year as I will be on staff for real.

how long have you been photographing things?

teehee, crispy snail :D

I like those pictures, makes me wish I had some sense of photography skills. I'm not sure if what I just said is proper english...

Basically all you need to do is find something that's usually too small to get close to (or too icky to WANT to get close to), zoom right in, and click.

The slug looks like he is going to war... No idea why.

Bigger, better, crispier. That's either a good tagline for potato chips or a camera. I can't decide. ;)

I like the depth of field on the first snail.
