stuck in black mesa east by the lift

please help i am going insane have just got of the hover craft and made my way around to black mesa east have been scanned and followed alex to the lift, but when i get to the lift all she does is stand there i have tried all sorts but to no avail. What do u have to do to use the lift?

quick save then quick load should solve it. (go into elevator first)

sorry it took me a while to try this but had to go and do some work.
