I have this logitech headset, USB. Plugged it in, tested with windows in control panel (sounds and audio devices) and it worked great and was very clear.
When I go into BF2, and do the microphone test in options, it doesn't detect it. What am I supposed to do?

What happened when you first setup the game? When I ran the installer, it detected my mic and allowed me to test it out, then the demo finished installing. Do you remember that mic test portion?
One other thing, you have to be disconnected from a game, I think, in order to tweak the VOIP settings. If you're not disconnected, all the options will be greyed out.

I didn't have my microphone plugged in then so I just clicked okay, but surely that shouldn't screw me into reinstalling just to get the microphone to work right?
