View Full Version : PLEASE READ - issues with BF2 demo and recent ATi driver releases

In testing the demo, EA has encountered some visual issues on certain ATI cards with the previous Catalyst drivers (5.5) and are working with yesterday's 5.6 release to discover if the issue is resolved. If in playing the Battlefield 2 demo you encounter texture corruption of any kind, we recommend rolling back to the Catalyst 5.1 drivers. ATI is aware of this issue and is working to resolve it.

I played the game earlier and it was fine on some older drivers, which i dont remember what ones they are, probably 4.12's.
But i had a weird crash/screw up and had to restore my windows, and i get this error : Missing "d3dx9_25.dll", reinstalling this program might solve it.
Well, reinstalling didnt. And neither has a fresh install of 5.1's and dx9c. Anyone know whats up? :(

my friend has an FX 5200, and he's running it fine.
I myself am running on an ATI 9200, which, according to the readme, shouldn't work, but I'm using the 5.4 drivers, so maybe that's why.
I was playing fine on a 64 player server with some friends just 5 minutes ago, and I'm only running on the 9200, 512 MB RAM, and a 1.3Ghz Pentium 4
