Update: We have learned from various sources that the GameCenter exclusive will be available to everyone to download. It is that they are requesting no one mirror the download for a their exclusive period, basically meaning you do not have to be a subscriber

Shakermaker, I doubt it will be for everyone to start with, tons of demos have done this, there normally pay only for afew days, or at the most a week.

Anyway Ritz does have a point, it's just like with MMORPG betas, I remember signing up for a month of Fileplanet to get the MxO and WoW betas. As for torrent sites I don't doubt it at all, but I don't know any torrent sites, since it's a demo, I hope the moderators won't mind if the torrent links are posted in the forum hehe.

Well that's a right bitch!! I got a Fileplanet subscription ages ago for one particular file, and I only just cancelled it a few weeks ago. I should've left it as I wouldn't have to pay until mid-June!!! :( ;(

You dont wait in a queue when downloading from a paid user, and Ive allways got at least 300kps on fileplanet.. So yeah.

I know you dont. I was talking about free users- read the post properly. This is afterall the reason for all the uproar- because a lot of people aren't paying users...So yeah.

Currently downloading the new one, I played the old one too, Im pretty sure its just the same. If so its mp with 2 maps I think. Very fun game, but abit laggy as its like doom 3, unforgiving if you dont have the newest and greatest hardware.

A: We understand that it will be released this Friday, June 10th. The precise time is unknown, but it will probably be around 12 noon Pacific Time. As with previous Battlefield demos, it will contain one map. No, we don't know which map it will be.

their servers may crash, but it should already be torrenting by that time

because then all the money gamespot paid EA having it exclusive on their site would be for nothing. its just business. the gamespot servers will be heavily loaded down, and at the last minute many people will pay $7 to get a subscription to get the demo.

even many who are protesting it now will cave in when the time comes. its just smart marketing.

Yep, if you pay theres no lines and great speed. If you don't you most likely won't get the file. Or else you will be waiting in a 3 hour line. Just wait for it to show up as a torrent. You will also get good speeds by using the torrent. I'll try and post it as soon as it's available
