I am co-founder of the Elite Tactical Outfit - a competetive Christian CS:Source team. We run a clean server and would love to have you all add it to your favourites.

Our server is located in Chicago.

Our members range between the ages of 19-24 and strive to play at a high level, while maintaining good character. Between the 5 of us, we share just over 20 years of experience in Counter-Strike.

It's a noble cause and all, but there's an immense amount hypocrisy inherent in the idea of a "Christian" CS:S team, considering CS is a game completely focused on killing... but I guess that reflects the hypocrisy of much of religion.

I think most of you are hypocrites, considering how many people say "We can separate reality from fiction" to counter medias hysteria over killings caused by gaming.

These guys obviously know how to have fun, and CS is a particularly competitive game, almost a sport.

I'm glad many of you have shown some interest in what we are about.

The idea of Christian CS isnt really new. Several Christian CS clans exist already. The idea of skill-based Christian CS is, however, new. Most of the current clans are very strong in numbers, but the skill level is like that of any average clan. eTo is aimed at taking pride in the skill part of CS as well as showing good character in the game.

Is Christianity and CS an insane clash because the game is modelled around killing?

Actually, the Bible is a book full of killing and violence. Many wars are described in the Bible. War is a reality - it's part of humanity. We enjoy CS as a sport, not because we take pleasure in seeing people die. CS takes much quick thinking, skill, and a competetive heart to win, not to mention great team work. We don't believe there is anything wrong with CS itself showing violence in such a context. Maintaining good character with other players is what shows the Christian aspect of eTo CS.

I hope I was able to clarify some things in this post, and do come join us!

Our server is now running 100 TIC rate, which makes for a great game!

Im not christian, but I can appreciate this and I say good luck. Maybe a few good christian gamers can show the zealots that gamers arent a bunch of degenerate pricks and that games might have some redeeming value. Unless of course they read this thread and see the replies and responses. Undeniable proof that many gamers are just degenerate douchebags.
