Got these guys' new album yesterday and after listening to it a couple of times i can reveal i am very impressed with what this band is producing. They have expanded on their sound from their debut album to produce a top notch piece of music.

Can't wait to see them live in June at the CIA :afro:

Rage > Audioslave, but considering theres still some rage left in them i'll let it go. I love their new single...Be yourself i think it is, can you recommend any other songs from the album? How many are really good? Worth buying?

What about Audioslave covering Rage? I know they've done some covers live, haven't heard any, can't imagine Cornell being anything like Zack.

lmao! that would be weird. Chris trying to rap. Guerilllaaaaaaaaaaaa radiooooo. Nope. Killing in the name of would be hilarious, especially with the swearing bit. Renegades of funk, take the power back, oh god the pain. I gotta see if theres any covers about.

Evo get back here and tell me the best songs on the album.

Im back, best songs from the new album,
Your Time has Come-good rock track, not as heavy as Cochise from debut-My Favourite so far
Out of Exile-cool opening drum section, rocks a bit with mellow parts as well-also a very good song
Be Yourself-The song that told me i HAD to get the album, a strong single
The Worm-funky guitar opening, rocks and a impressive guitar effects solo in the middle
Man or Animal-very good song
The Curse-good final new song
Like a Stone (Live Bonus Track)-live and slow, brilliant

Don't get me wrong, the other songs on the album are good, just these are the pick of the bunch for me.

Buy this album, NOW

Just saw these guys live at the CIA, they were fricken amazing. Chris did 'Black Hole Sun' acoustic along with a couple of Rage songs, 'Born into the Fire' and 'Killin in the name of'. The Audioslave songs themselves were brilliant with the uber-powerful 'Cochise' finishin off the show. Boo yeah!

Born into the fire? You mean Sleep now in the fire? Cochise is a great song, sounds awesome.

Audioslave > Rage :P

Simply cause Zack aint as good as Chris.

Saw them Sunday, and I enjoyed the gig more than Chillies in Murryfield.

And Spoonman... soooooo good :)

Must...not...kill...
I'd ask Evo to comment on the covers, but since he called it "Born Now In The Fire" I'm guessing he's not much of a Rage fan.
Ah well, musical taste differs.

I may not be a giant Rage fan but i do like 'Sleep Now in the Fire' great song. As i did say my brain got kinda scrambled, and hell i did pull at that gig so yeah, kinda wasn't totally with it having just got back from the gig anyway

covers (if you can call them that, after all three of the band were still knockin around) were really good.

It didn't much matter who sang 'Killing in the name of' seeing as you couldn't hear squat from all the yelling :)

It was cool, the hole place exploded, what an encore

I heard that Zack D. was pursuing a solo career... of course, I heard that a while ago. Lord knows what he's up to now.

Heh, nice one.
Zack is still trying to go solo, I really doubt it'll go anywhere, although theres something about Trent Reznor being involved now.
