My v8 server got "owned". Some guy with the tag {DNS} came into my server and didnt do anything really he just stood in the corner freezing stuff, Then I had no idea where he went. Next thing i know It is making me say things like " I am horny " and such but I didnt actually type it. Then I started going blind. After that my name got changed to Mingebag and The server started kicking everyone except {DNS} then he put a password on it and changed my name to "Owned" and made me say: HELP I GOT OWNED! and then garrys mod crashed...any one know about these happenings?

Sounds nasty. I'm guessing that as garry has released the source code for the mod, there might be some serious stuff that people can exploit.

You have to have sv cheats set to 0, in other words turn off cheats.

There is some kind of known flaw where if you have cheats on and you are running a server, someone else can have admin powers.

Yeh, I found out it is a script someone made. Ghey! But I reported that guy to garry on the Gmod forums cause I found his exact name, BANNAGE.
