Ping kicker servers

Does anyone know of any kick ass servers that dont have a ping kick of about 300? :sniper:

im 56k so my ping can be anything form 100-900 but mostly its a steady 100-200.

Not as bad as it sounds trust me, but its hard to find servers that let me play, and most that kick are real good ones :(

Cant a 56k get a break? *tear* ;( ;(

Same here dammit... been stuck on 56k forever, never had the joy of broadband in my own house. I live in a rural area, so it will never be here. Guess I just have to wait until I get to college in august, where i get fiber... w00t.

BTW I just usually pub on servers in my area, don't have any favs right now. If someone could suggest some good servers it would be nice.

PS. Anyone saying that us 56kers should just get out need to stfu, we don't lag you. Ping in dependent on your connection and the server's, not anyone else's connection who is playing on the server.

I understand that in most cases high speed internet is not available in the area of some users. But the game is simply not built for 56k, you may be used to the game looking like a slideshow but most gamers are not. I used to be on 56k and it choked even on Starcraft. People wouldent put ping restrictions because they like to see small numbers, they put them there because lagg interfears with everyones gameplay. No offense.

Umm, no.
When a "56ker" joins a server, they dont lag everyone else, like everyone seems to think. If anything they use less server bandwidth than, any boardband user. I know from my past experience, and also as i play CSS on 56k a couple times a day, and i also go to my friends house on the weekends and play on cable.
And i do get pretty good K:d ratios, too, you just need to find a local server, and turn down your update rates.

Edit: there are different texniques, you use when on dial up, than say if you had cable. But i dont want to let them out, because i like to use them! : p

Lag dodge?
you can't "lag dodge" because CSS has lag compensation, so where you shoot on your screen, and if you hit them on ur screen CSS compensates, and it happens on the server.

So its probly just your crappy shooting : p

And I was refering to my being on dialup hence I would be doing the 'lag dodging' if such a thing existed. Perhaps it's just me but people seem to have lots of trouble hitting me - perhaps you'd rather I put it down to leet skillz? :P

You can't find a general good server for Dial upers, you just need to find one that is about 12 people or under, and with low ping, and change ur update rate to like 5, and make sure the server has minupdaterate 5 or lower...

Edit: BTW i have about 5-6 servers in my favs, and they are all regularly topped up.
i can play de_dust2 and most others with max players and decent lag (for 56k) i.e. 120-180 ping. :sniper:

Its just that playing the same servers over and over and over and over and over and over..... :x get my point?

I have 64kb/s ISDN and I get <100 ping in my local servers and in some good swedish ones :cheese:

I was on dial-up for 8+ years but then Charter finally got their heads outta their asses and but in cable. I am now on 3MB cable with a ping of around 40 most times.

I know you people you have been in the city as long as you can remember and have has these luxuries, but feel sorry for these 56ker's. I know most people think to themselves... "gross... 56k... OmGz0r!" but... anyways this is turning into a rant.

Get a better ISP and modem.
When you search take a server thats about 200 - 250 ping. Even 18 player servers should be quite playable.

I hate ping kicker servers. For some reason my ping goes up to about 300 when I'm joining and choosing sides. After I've chosen sides it goes down to 50'ish though, damn annoying.
