I can´t play my half life 2 game because that my steam account suddenly one day broke down. (Some of you may still remember.)
Now is the question, can I run the expansion pack without that I can play half life 2?

You will probably need HL2 capable of running to play Aftermath.

I would think that Aftermath would use the hl2.exe to run, so if you can't do that, you're stuffed.

I'd concentrate on getting that Steam account fixed. I know I would.

What's the problem with your Steam account? How did it "break down"?

One day, it just didn´t work. And it didn´t send me e-mails with my password or anything.

you will need to get ahold of valve somehow, and not being able too through email seems strange because I email them all the time about the game and get answers normally in 6 hours or less.

Who exactly do you email? He could be using a different email or something.
And have you tried reinstalling steam?
But, to give a clear view of what your problem is, could you tell us exactly what happens when it doesnt work. Such as an error message, not loading up, freezing, crashing, etc...?

Have you reinstalled Steam? I would definitely contact someone; having the Game work one day and then the next not that's unacceptable.
Try emailing valve against. If it's been a while that probably means they simply never got your email for some reason or another.

If its not accepting your password then exit steam in that menu in the bottom right of screen it will restart and be good as new. :naughty:

What exactly happens is, one day I could get into my account, but another day,
it would´t.
(It can´t be my password or accountname that is wrong,
because that even a freind of mein new my accountname and password
and could confirm that it was
the right thing I was typing.
