I have a feeling that Big brother gabe was watching the major HL2 forums looking for likes/dislikes so I do believe we WILL see all (or most of) the things we wanted to (but didn't) see in HL2. Just a lil theory and hopefully reality.

Perhaps, but I'm sure that he looks objectively at it and picks the things that are actually good rather than bowing to the masses. The vast majority of people and ideas are either total crap the minute they're suggested, or unworkable or inferior concepts to the actual industry.

Also, you're guilty of equating "Valve Software" with "Gabe Newell". Unless the photos have been heavily edited, that poor guy hasn't got as many arms as a Hindu deity and as a man he is severely handicapped against multi-tasking. I'm quite confident that various Valve employees take a look at the forums. Gabe himself may be among them, but he's not the extent of their eyes into the community...

I doubt they'll bow to us, especially seeing as we are probably not the majority of there customers.
Alot of customers probably dont care about HL2, played it through once, thought it was good, threw a fit when 'Gamestation' wouldn't trade it because it was now locked to there Steam account.

Im sure though that the realized what a mistake it was to take out wome of the things out of the game....or they were waiting to release it in after math once they found out HL2 was leaked
