Troubleshoot: Thunderbird

Hi guys, I'm having some trouble with Mozilla Thunderbird and I was wondering if anyone can help me, when I open the thing it wants me to fill out something but I have no idea what to write, here is a screenshot of what it looks like: http://tinypic.com/2lyq2q

I think you need a proper email address. I think you can only use hotmail addresses if you use outlook/entourage. Get a gmail account, you can use that with thunderbird I think.

Correct me if i'm wrong though.

Only way to do that would be with a 3rd party app like this (http://fox.foxmail.com.cn/english.htm) or hotmail pepper.

Hotmail is a web based email and doesn't do pop3. The only program that can do it by itself is Outlook. =p

if you choose these settings, make sure you enable it in the gmail settings

If you goto the settings (Top Right of the main Window) Then click the Forwarding and Pop Settings Tab, and choose the type of POP you wish to enable.

Outlook CANNOT get into a Free Hotmail account. Infact things like Outlook\Thunderbird cannot be used to download from a free Hotmail Account only PAID.
