I'm considering purchasing a psp but I have been looking around and havn't found an answer. I know you can hook up psp to work off a wireless router for updates and such. I thought I heard you can also play multiplayer through the router. Is this true? I have been looking to find an answer for a while now.

Yes, Im pretty sure you can connect via a wireless router. You have to setup a connection on your PSP and you're good to go.

If you have a wireless router you can use your PSP online. No software updates have been released but there are a total of 5 online enabled games. I played Twisted Metal: Head On online and it's fun. Also using a simple hack you can turn the Wipeout Pure internal browser to an internet browser allowing you to browse the web. It's just a hack and some pages don't work, but I'd say 90% of websites work. None the less it's pretty cool stuff. Some games like Wipeout Pure will have downloadable content. The PSP works with routers and hot spot areas that support WiFi.
