Ok, i have dial-up so i cant go on the net during the day and i was wondering if there was a way to play singleplayer without the internet

Yes you can go into offline mode. Steam will notice no net connection so it will offer "offline mode". Select yes and you log into your account and you can play everything except going online. If you have not registered a game though you must register it one time only before being able to play it.
